The Process Behind a Painting

Every painting begins quietly. Before color touches the canvas, there is a moment of listening — to thoughts, emotions, and the subtle atmosphere that surrounds the studio.

​My process usually begins with layers of oil paint that create depth and movement. On top of these layers, I work with acrylic markers, patiently building up countless small dots across the surface. These marks are not planned in detail; they emerge slowly, responding to the surface of the painting, allowing the image to breathe and come alive over time.

​

​Sometimes the painting evolves quickly, as if it already knows where it wants to go. At other times, it requires patience and time. I may step away for days, returning later with a fresh perception.

​

​This slow dialogue between the artist and the canvas is essential. Each layer carries traces of decisions, intuition, and reflection.

​

​For me, the process of painting is not about reaching a fixed image. It is about allowing the work to reveal its own rhythm and presence over time.
