The Role of Intuition in My Work
While technique and experience are important in painting, intuition often plays an equally significant role in the creative process.
Intuition allows decisions to emerge naturally without overthinking every detail. Colors may appear where they weren't originally planned. Clusters of dots may emerge across the canvas and suddenly change the entire composition.
These intuitive moments can bring vitality to the work. They introduce elements that logic alone might not discover.
In my studio practice, I try to maintain a balance between awareness and spontaneity. Structure provides direction, while intuition keeps the work alive.
Through this process, the painting gradually reveals its own character — something that cannot always be predicted from the start.
